Payment FAQ

Payment & Net Terms FAQ

This FAQ explains how payments, ACH/eCheck, and Net Terms work for orders placed with Sliding Hardware. It is a summary of our payment conditions and does not replace our full Terms and Conditions.

1. General Payment Conditions

What payment conditions apply to my order?

All orders are subject to price, payment method, and credit approval by Sliding Hardware in our sole discretion. We may refuse, suspend, or cancel any order or shipment if payment cannot be verified, is declined, appears fraudulent, or if your account is past due.

When does title to the goods pass to me?

Title to goods passes to you when your order is shipped. However, we reserve the right to withhold shipment or recall products in transit if payment is not successfully completed or is later reversed (including chargebacks, ACH returns, or Resolve non-payment).

2. Credit & Debit Card Payments

What happens when I pay by credit or debit card?

When you submit card information at checkout, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to use that card and that you authorize Sliding Hardware and our payment providers to charge the full order amount, including applicable taxes, shipping, and fees.

What if my card payment is fraudulent or disputed?

Fraudulent, unauthorized, or disputed transactions may result in cancellation of the related order. We may also refer such transactions to the card issuer, payment processors, and, where appropriate, law-enforcement agencies.

3. eCheck / ACH Payments via Authorize.net

How do eCheck / ACH payments work?

For eCheck / ACH payments, you authorize Sliding Hardware (as the merchant) to initiate an ACH debit entry to your designated bank account for the agreed order amount. You agree to maintain sufficient funds in the account to cover all debits.

What information do I need to provide for ACH?

You consent to provide all required authorization information, including:

  • Account holder name
  • Bank name
  • Routing and account number
  • Transaction amount

You confirm that you have the authority to authorize debits from the specified account.

What happens if an ACH payment is returned?

Returned ACH transactions (for example, due to insufficient funds, closed account, or revocation) may result in:

  • Assessment of a return or administrative fee per occurrence, where permitted by law.
  • Immediate suspension of eCheck / ACH privileges.
  • A requirement that future orders be prepaid by card, wire transfer, or another approved method.
  • Recovery actions for the unpaid amount and associated costs, including reasonable collection and legal fees, to the extent allowed by law.

How long do you keep ACH authorizations on file?

ACH authorizations may remain on file in accordance with applicable NACHA and regulatory requirements. Records of such authorizations may be retained for at least the minimum period required by law or by our processors.

4. Net Terms Through Resolve Pay

Who provides Net Terms for Sliding Hardware orders?

Net Terms are extended only through Resolve Pay to approved business customers and are subject to Resolve’s separate terms, credit decisions, and privacy policy.

How do Net Terms invoices work?

When you place an order on Net Terms, you acknowledge that:

  • Resolve is the party extending trade credit and managing collections for your invoices.
  • All Net Terms invoices must be paid directly to Resolve in accordance with the terms stated on each invoice (for example, Net 30, Net 60, Net 90).

What happens if I pay late or don’t pay a Resolve invoice?

Non-payment, late payment, or other default on Resolve invoices may result in:

  • Reduction or cancellation of your available credit line with Resolve.
  • Suspension or termination of your ability to use Net Terms on future orders with Sliding Hardware.

Sliding Hardware is not responsible for Resolve’s credit decisions, credit limits, or collection actions. You agree to resolve any credit-related disputes directly with Resolve.

5. Security, Data Handling & Limitations

Who processes my payment information?

Card and ACH transactions are processed by third-party, PCI-compliant providers (including Shopify, Authorize.net, and Resolve). These providers use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information.

Is payment processing completely risk-free?

No system is completely free of risk. By submitting payment information, you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk and that your information is subject to the terms and policies of those third-party providers.

What is Sliding Hardware’s liability for payment processing issues?

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sliding Hardware disclaims liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from payment processing delays, declines, errors, or outages attributable to card networks, banks, ACH networks, or Resolve’s systems.
